What It Is
Executive functioning is the brain's management system—a set of mental skills that help us plan, organize, remember information, regulate emotions, and complete tasks. These skills help us navigate everyday life with greater confidence and independence.
Our Coaching Team
Our coaches bring both clinical knowledge and practical experience to every session, combining evidence-based strategies with compassionate, individualized support. Every member of our coaching team is carefully selected and trained to help clients build meaningful executive functioning skills that last a lifetime.
About Our Founder

Hi, I'm Dr. Sharon Arbel, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, educator, and Founder of Focus Forward.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families navigating challenges with organization, time management, emotional regulation, and other executive functioning skills. Time and again, I saw bright, capable individuals struggle—not because they lacked motivation or ability, but because they needed the right tools, strategies, and support.
These experiences inspired me to create Focus Forward, a program designed to bridge the gap between potential and performance by helping individuals build the skills needed to succeed in school, work, and daily life.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCLA and later completed both my Master's and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology through the California School of Professional Psychology. In addition to my clinical work, I have supervised graduate students and interns, taught at the master's and doctoral levels, and developed programs for families, educators, and mental health professionals.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: with the right support, individuals can develop the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to move forward successfully.
Today, Focus Forward reflects my belief that meaningful growth happens when people are given the right strategies, support, and encouragement. I am honored to help individuals and families build the skills and confidence needed to move forward successfully.
